About

PROV is built by a New Zealand company, in the open about what exists and what does not.

Why

The reason this exists

Creators carry the cost of a problem they did not cause. Their work is scraped, re-cut and republished without credit. Their audiences cannot tell their recordings apart from imitations. And the platforms hosting all of it have little incentive to resolve either, because engagement does not care whether a thing is real.

PROV starts from the view that authenticity has to be structural. A platform that can be trusted on who is real and what is real has to be built so those facts are recorded as they happen, by people who hold their own keys, on infrastructure that is not a single company's to quietly change.

That is a harder platform to build and a slower one to grow. It is the version worth building.

The company

Where it is up to

Built, and still being built

✓

Working today. The identity layer and trust ladder. The attestation ledger. Content storage with creator-declared provenance ratings. Encrypted drafts. Publishing signed by a key held in phone hardware. Moderation, including takedowns and strikes. Multi-device sync, and account recovery proven end to end across two phones.

●

In progress. The distribution network that carries content across operator-run machines, and the mobile applications for iPhone and Android.

—

Not yet. Public sign-up. PROV opens first to a small invited group through in-person events, because the attestation layer cannot be bootstrapped any other way.

No launch date is published, and this page will not carry one until it is real.
